Render movement joint beads
Render movement joints, movement beads for render are also known as expansion beads.
To prevent cracking over large expanses of render (runs of 4-6m or more) render movement joints allow the render to expand and contract as weather conditions change and the building settles and moves over time. Expansion beads should also be installed wherever render covers structural movement joints and changes in wall materials.
